It is with great pride and deep responsibility that I, Ekongot Godfrey Opama, announce my candidacy for Member of County Assembly (MCA) of Chakol North. As a proud son of this great community, I have seen firsthand the challenges we face and the untapped potential that lies within our borders. I believe that with your support, together, we can create a brighter future for Chakol North.

I, Ekongot Godfrey Opama, have always been committed to serving my community. Growing up here, I learned the value of togetherness, hard work, and the power of collective effort. My vision for Chakol North goes beyond politics—it's about ensuring every resident feels heard, respected, and empowered.

If elected, I, Ekongot Godfrey Opama, will make sure that every citizen, regardless of their background or station in life, has access to the services and opportunities they deserve. Whether it’s improved infrastructure, quality education, better healthcare, or job creation, I will tirelessly work to meet the needs of our people, while always abiding by the principles set forth in our Constitution.

The Constitution of Kenya is the supreme law of the land and provides a solid foundation for justice, equality, and good governance. If elected, I, Ekongot Godfrey Opama, will firmly uphold the values enshrined in our Constitution, particularly:

Article 10: National Values and Principles of Governance – This article highlights the importance of human dignity, equality, equity, and democracy. As your MCA, I, Ekongot Godfrey Opama, will work to ensure that the rights of every individual are respected and upheld, and that decisions are made for the collective good of Chakol North.

Article 174: Objects of Devolution – This article empowers County Assemblies like ours to promote democratic and accountable exercise of power. It outlines the need for effective participation in the process of governance, ensuring that local communities, like ours, have a direct say in the policies that affect their lives. I, Ekongot Godfrey Opama, will advocate for a transparent and inclusive process that ensures everyone in Chakol North has a voice.

Article 27: Equality and Freedom from Discrimination – Every citizen, regardless of gender, ethnicity, or social status, is entitled to equal rights and opportunities. I, Ekongot Godfrey Opama, will work to make sure that women, youth, and marginalized communities are included in the decision-making processes and benefit equally from development initiatives.

Article 43: Economic and Social Rights – This article guarantees every Kenyan the right to accessible healthcare, education, adequate housing, and decent work. As your MCA, I, Ikongot Godfrey Opama, will work to ensure that these rights are upheld for every resident of Chakol North, and that we build a community that works for everyone.

Article 55: Youth Empowerment – Recognizing the importance of youth as the future of our nation, this article commits to empowering youth through access to opportunities in education, employment, and entrepreneurship. I, Ekongot Godfrey Opama, will prioritize initiatives that promote youth development, including job creation and skills training, to ensure a bright future for our young people.

4. Agriculture & Livelihoods: Chakol North has vast agricultural potential. By promoting modern farming practices and supporting local farmers, I, Ekongot Godfrey Opama, plan to make our agriculture sector a driver of economic growth and food security.

5. Women and Vulnerable Groups: I, DT-Ekongot Godfrey Opama, am passionate about uplifting women and marginalized communities. I will work to create policies that empower women economically and socially while ensuring that vulnerable groups are never left behind, in line with Article 27 on equality.
